Yes, we require the V5C logbook to complete the sale. If you have lost it, you can request a replacement from the DVLA before selling the vehicle. You can do this by following the link HERE.

If you don’t want to keep the private plate then you do absolutely nothing! If you wish to retain your private plate then you must put the plate on retention and wait for your new logbook to turn up with the original plate number on before selling your vehicle to us.
